Police Details for Construction, Traffic Control & Special Events
The Everett Police Department coordinates police details for construction projects, utility work, road closures, public events, private security needs, and other situations where a police officer is required to help protect public safety or manage traffic.
If your project or event requires a police detail, our Assignments & Details Office will work with you to coordinate staffing based on the nature of the request and officer availability.
Police details are commonly requested for:
- Roadway construction and utility work
- Traffic control for construction projects
- Public events and community gatherings
- Commercial deliveries requiring traffic management
- Film or television production
- Private security details when appropriate
- Other situations requiring an off-duty police officer
To request a police detail, please contact the Assignments & Details Office during normal business hours.
Providing your request as early as possible helps ensure adequate staffing and scheduling.
When calling, be prepared to provide information such as:
- Company or organization name
- Contact person and phone number
- Location of the detail
- Date and time requested
- Type of work or event
- Estimated duration
- Any special traffic or safety concerns
